South Africa Refuses Nigeria Explanation on Seized Flght And Cash

The news reaching us is that, South Africa Investigators have dismissed Nigerian government’s explanations of the purpose of the $9.3 million cash seized from two Nigerians and an Israeli as “flawed and riddled with discrepancies”. The suspects told South African authorities that the money was meant for the procurement of arms for Nigerian intelligence agencies. “… Although various explanations about the money were given to the investigating officer, these explanations were flawed and riddled with discrepancies,” the South African prosecution agency said in a statement sent to this newspaper. The jet used to ferry the money is owned by Ayo Oritsejafor, who heads the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN. Mr. Oritsejafor, a cleric, said he is not aware of the arms deal. He said although he owns the aircraft, it was managed by another company, Eagle Air Company, which in turn, leased the jet to a third party, Green Coast Produce Limited.

Fashola Host Ebola Survivors In Lagos State

Kashamu Loses Bid to Stop Drug Trial In US Court

A United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit sitting in Illinois has declared a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) chieftain, Buruji Kashamu, a fugitive wanted in America for trial over allegations of importing drug to the country. Delivering judgment in an application by Kashamu for a writ of mandamus, Justice Charles R. Norgle refused to quash an indictment issued against the PDP chieftain.


The court held that the indictment against him had no expiration date. The court held: “Should he ever come to the United States, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, he could be put on trial in the Federal District Court in Chicago, since the indictment has no expiration date.

 “An original indictment remains pending until it is dismissed or until double jeopardy or due process would forbid prosecution under it.” Kashamu, a dual citizen of Nigeria and Benin, was charged in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Chicago, along with 13 other persons, with conspiracy to import heroin into the United States and distribute it, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 963.

Beyounce's Matthew Knowles Confirmed, Fathered Second Love Child

Matthew Knowles has given Beyonce and Solange another sibling after DNA tests prove he fathered  a girl in 2010 with lingerie model turned real estate agent, TaQoya Branscomb.

TaQoya had claimed in July that Matthew was the father of her 4 year old daughter, and he was  ordered by the Texas courts to take a paternity test. According to TMZ, the paternity test came out today and it showed 99.998% probability that Mr Knowles is the father.

The Synagogue Church of all Nations has released an official statement via their Facebook page on the building collapse within their premises on Friday September 12th which has so far claimed over 77 lives. They say it was an attack on the church and in particular, their leader, T.B Joshua and have vowed to reveal the persons behind it. PDP Governors And NEC Are Solidly Behind Jonathan

They party and it leaders are ready to support Jonathan come 2015. The flag bearer of the People Democratic Party have already received a go ahead from the elders.

Members of the National Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party have adopted President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2015 election.

This decision was taken few minutes ago at the ongoing meeting of the body which is being held at the party’s national headquarters, Abuja on Thursday.

Members of the NEC took the decision after various organs of the party said that they had endorsed the President during their meetings which they said were held on Wednesday.

National Chairman of the party, Adamu Mua’zu led other members of the party’s National Working Committee to the meeting.

President Jonathan, his deputy, Namadi Sambo; Senate President, David Mark; his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha were among those present at the meeting.

It was aslo attended by majority of the governors, including the Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido.

The governor is believed to be nursing presidential ambition.
